About Us

Pastor Sahl is a dedicated servant of our Lord with over 50 years of experience in pastoral ministry on the staff of Emmanuel Church in Egg Harbor City. He served as its Senior Pastor for 38 years. He and his wife, Rebecca, have five children and nineteen grandchildren. Pastor Sahl received a Bachelor of Science in Math Education from Glassboro State University (now Rowan) and a Master of Arts from Grace Theological Seminary. In addition to his role as Interim Pastor of Faith Baptist Church, he teaches Bible and Math at The Pilgrim Academy.

THE BIBLE

We believe the 66 Books of the Old and New Testament are inspired, inerrant, perfectly preserved, and completely sufficient.

GOD

We believe there is one God who eternally exists as three equally divine Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He alone is God and there is none like Him.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the absolute Deity of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, that He was divine as no other man can be, being very God of very God; existing from all eternity, coequal with the Father and the Holy Spirit; that He never ceased to be God for one instant and that His humiliation did not consist of laying aside His Deity.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person having the same nature as God the Father and God the Son.

THE FALL OF MAN

We believe that man was created by God without sin, but chose to sin. As a result man fell from his sinless and happy state, in consequence of which, all mankind are now sinners.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God brought to men by grace and received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins. We believe that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation.
